Electric bikes remain a trend. What we can expect in the near future in terms of electromobility and technology.
The triumph of electric bikes continues unabated. Now that the main season is over in many places, sports retailers have been able to take stock of the past summer months and once again record growth of around 45% in the e-bike sector. The continuing boom in electric bikes is also driving manufacturers to constantly work on new models and innovations.
It was only recently announced that the Belgian designer e-bike called Cowboy can now also be ordered in Austria. This highly acclaimed electric bike offers several smart functions via Android or IOS app, with the connection being made via Bluetooth. The smartphone thus becomes the activation key. The live dashboard displays speed, duration, distance and battery charge, the front light is switched on via the app and the GPS module and SIM card built into the frame are designed to protect against theft. With this model, the Belgian start-up Cowboy is already demonstrating a few pioneering features of e-bikes.
In the near future
The e-bike of the future will certainly come with even more technology. For example, the electric bike "The X One" aims to become the bike of the 21st century and set new standards with Android, facial scanning and a touchscreen. It also features integrated lighting and indicators that activate automatically. A torque sensor enables more precise pedal assistance. Futuristic e-bikes like this will therefore be flooding the market in the near future.
This is exactly when you need to be at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to charging stations. Peter Schitter, Managing Director of the company bike-energyexplains: "The e-bike boom continues unabated. More and more people are opting for this environmentally friendly and healthy means of transportation and manufacturers are responding with innovations at a technical level. At the same time, tourist resorts are E-infrastructure with functioning chargers at all times. The e-bike has the potential to significantly shape the future of mobility and the future of tourism. That's why we should not miss out on this development, but rather get to grips with it soon enough". It will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of electromobility.
