The Merano from Coboc

When we got the news that we had a Coboc Merano for a longer time in the spring, we had no particular expectations. All expectations - which we did not have - but were then quickly exceeded. From quality, style, speed and a very special partner in everyday life and leisure.

First impression ...

As we all know, this is what counts, and the Merano does everything right. "Whew, this is light, not at all like an e-bike!" That's what you think when you first get to know the under 18kg e-bike. It doesn't feel like an e-bike, more like a lightning-fast city bike, as you know it from the past. However, when you pedal for the first time, it quickly becomes clear that you were wrong - it's a real blast.

Push the button

Just one button, no modes, no complicated tuning, turn it on and go. With the courage to simplicity, the Merano has convinced us completely. Once switched on, the LEDs on the top tube provide information about the battery charge level. This is unrecognizable built in the down tube and is obviously very light. The hub motor on the rear wheel works quietly and with enough punch to look forward to every start.

In the city, in the countryside, at the lake or on the mountain

The Merano from Coboc is at home everywhere. So plain text: it is not a mountain bike and we have it neither on remote mountain pastures, nor chased over winding single trails. It is simply not made for that, BUT whether you shred with him through the city center of a metropolis or bike paths in the countryside to declare its territory, is pretty much the same. Our mission is to be mobile in everyday life without a car and the Merano is perfect for that.

The temporary home for the Merano is also an advantage. For a year now the Climate and Energy Tourism Model Region Zell am See-Kaprun and this project is dedicated to reducing car traffic for tourists and locals and getting more people on their bikes. Our mission: to go to the office, to the supermarket, to the lake by e-bike - every day, in any weather, wherever.

The Merano from Coboc is currently a great support. Even if it sounds incomprehensible to some, with such a bike under the buttocks, you do not need to get into a car in over 90 % of cases. One is fast on the road, arrives efficiently at the destination, the chic fenders keep 100% dry and with the perfectly functioning lighting you are even in the evening and at night safely on the road.

If you want to put it to the test like we did and make your everyday life increasingly car-free, you should take a closer look at the Merano from Coboc. Admittedly, the high-quality e-bike "handmade in Heidelberg" isn't cheap, but it's equipped to the highest standards and has a very high-quality finish. There's really no way to be more casual, sleek and efficient on the bike path, whether in the city or in the countryside.
