McDonald's At first glance, you wouldn't associate it with cycling, active mobility and fitness. McDonald's reputation is more suited to fast food, full parking lots and lines of cars in front of McDrive.Â
This is not the case at McDonald's Feldkirchen in Carinthia, where two BENTO bike stand incl. 2 x LINE L3B charging station for a total of 6 e-bikes have been installed, ensuring a seamless and high-quality cycling infrastructure at the restaurant with the golden arch.
Why do we think this is really cool?Â
It is precisely projects like this that are needed to highlight the many positive effects of active mobility to point out. Take a look at the locations of McDonald's branches, mostly in the periphery, next to shopping centers, on busy roads, nobody would think of NOT driving to McDonald's by car. Unless there is a safe cycle path that leads there and a Secure parking facilitywhere I know my bike or e-bike is safely stored. A really great project that combines many positive effects!
