The Merano of Coboc

"Or, from the ease of being every day, up, down, everywhere!"

When we got the message that we were a coboc We didn't have any particular expectations when we were able to test Merano for a longer period of time in spring. All expectations – which we didn't have – were then very quickly exceeded. Of quality, style, speed and a very special partner in everyday life and leisure.

First impression …

As is well known, this counts and the Merano does everything right. “Phew, it's light, not like an e-bike at all!” That's what you think when you first get to know the under 18kg e-bike. It doesn't feel like an e-bike, more like a lightning-fast city bike like we used to have. However, if you step on the pedals for the first time, it quickly becomes clear that you made a mistake, and things really get going.

Push the button

Just one button, no modes, no complicated tuning, switch on and go. With its courage to keep things simple, the Merano completely won us over. Once switched on, the LEDs on the top tube provide information about the charge level of the battery. This is undetectably installed in the down tube and is obviously very light. The hub motor on the rear wheel works quietly and with enough punch to look forward to every start.

In the city, in the country, at the lake or in the mountains

Coboc Merano is at home everywhere. So to put it plainly: it's not a mountain bike and we haven't ridden it on remote alpine pastures or over winding single trails. It's just not made for that, BUT it doesn't really matter whether you tear through the city center of a metropolis with it or declare bike paths in the country to be your territory. Our mission is to be mobile in everyday life without a car and the Merano is perfect for this.

Location – KEM Tourismus Zell am See-Kaprun

The temporary home for the Merano is also a through ball. It's been a year now Climate and energy tourism model region Zell am See-Kaprun at the start and this project aims to reduce the car traffic of tourists and locals and to get more people on their bikes. Our mission: with the e-bike to the office, to the supermarket, to the lake - every day, in any weather, wherever.

Coboc's Merano is currently a great support. Even if it sounds incomprehensible to some, with such a bike under your buttocks, in over 90% of cases you don't need to get into a car. You're on the road quickly, you get to your destination efficiently, the chic fenders keep you 100% dry and with the perfectly functioning lighting you're safe on the road even in the evening and at night.

If you want to put it to the test like we do and want to make your everyday life increasingly car-free, you should take a closer look at the Merano from Coboc. Admittedly, the high-quality e-bike "handmade in Heidelberg" is not cheap, but it is well equipped and of very high quality. You really can't be more relaxed, streamlined and efficient on the cycle path, whether in the city or in the country.

KEEP ON RIDING!
