1. General safety instructions
Only use the charging cable with compatible and approved e-bike batteries.
Never charge damaged, swollen, or obviously defective batteries.
Do not use the cable if there is visible damage to the plug, cable sheath, or other components.
Ensure that plugs and sockets are clean, dry, and free of foreign objects.
Do not use the charging cable in wet environments or in heavy rain.
Keep the charging cable away from children and pets.
2. Correct use
First, plug the charging cable into the designated bike-energy charging point.
Only then connect the plug head to the battery of your e-bike. Ensure that it is firmly and correctly seated.
Avoid pulling on the cable or connector during charging.
Finish the charging process in reverse order: first disconnect the plug from the battery, then disconnect the cable from the charging point.
Do not use the charging cable as an extension cable or strain relief cable for other purposes.
3. Warning notices
Do not charge batteries in closed, unventilated rooms or in the immediate vicinity of highly flammable materials.
Do not expose the charging cable to direct sunlight, heat sources, or extreme temperatures.
Do not modify, open, or repair the charging cable yourself. If it is defective, contact a specialist retailer or the manufacturer.
Avoid short circuits: Do not touch open contacts and do not connect contacts to each other.
Only use the cable in conjunction with approved charging points or systems. Incompatible products may cause damage.
4. Care and handling
Check the charging cable regularly for visible damage, especially at the connectors and cable joints.
Clean connectors and contact surfaces only when they are disconnected from the power supply and only with a dry or slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Do not bend, crush, or run over the cable. Avoid heavy mechanical stress.
Store the cable in a dry place, protected from the weather and, if possible, in a protective cover or a suitable compartment.
Only use original accessories and spare parts from bike-energy.
5. What to do in case of malfunctions
If charging does not start, first check all connections and try again.
If the charging process repeatedly stops or the charging station displays error messages, stop charging and contact the operator or support.
If the plug or cable becomes unusually hot, disconnect the charging process immediately and only use the charging cable again after it has been checked by qualified personnel.
